Dr. Schumann is a clinical child psychologist with expertise in assessment of autism, developmental delays/differences, ADHD, Learning Disorders, social/emotional functioning, and disruptive behavior. She specializes in assessment of children from birth to preteen. Dr. Schumann works closely with occupational therapy and speech/language therapy providers to offer multi-disciplinary team evaluations when needed at the Burnsville clinic location. Her practice also includes therapy and parent guidance services for various behavioral, developmental, and emotional needs. She utilizes evidence-based practices when working with children and families.
Dr. Schumann completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She also completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at The Guidance Center / Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA, as well as post-doctoral training at Fraser Clinic in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Schumann has several years of professional experience working in specialty pediatric clinics, where she has provided multi-disciplinary team evaluations with medical providers, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists and educational specialists.
Dr. Schumann’s goals in working with children and families are to understand their specific needs, collaboratively determine appropriate solutions through assessment and/or treatment, and help them function their best across environments. In her freetime she enjoys running, reading, traveling/exploring national parks, and watching her three kids play sports.
Dr. Schumann’s office days are Monday through Thursday.

Dr. Schumann is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, HealthPartners, Medica, United Health Care, and UMR. She also accepts fee for service payments for out of network clients.
